I was given a variety of ornamental grasses to plant around a creek area to hold the banks. Are ornamental grasses hazardess to the horses? Anyone with experience? Thanks

I do not know, I am afraid, but I have often wondered.

I would really like to plant some Pampas Grass round the edges of one of my fields, and I know it cannot be poisonous, but, on the other hand, they will eat anything, and I can't see grass that coarse being any good for them!

It would depend on the species of ornamental grass; there probably are some that are safe, and others that are not.

I believe some ornamental grasses are poisonous, but offhand I do not know which ones. Your best bet would be to identify the species of grasses that you have & then research those specific ones.
