Hello Miniature Horse Enthusiast ................

The New England Miniature Horse Society, the oldest Miniature Club in the Northeast, cordially invites you to attend our "AMATEUR EXTRAVAGANZA" of shows in 2009.

We are setting the standard for local clubs world wide by offering ALL the AMHA approved classes for Amateurs. The AMHA recently approved "Level One" and "Level Two" splits for the AOTE (Amateur Owned Trained and Exhibited) Division and NEMHS will be offering this at all of our show. In addition, the height splits in both Level One and Level Two Amateur will also be offered.

The New England Miniature Horse Society is the only club in the Northeast that offers over 30 classes for newer less experienced members in our "NOVICE DIVISION"..... This year these classes are FREE for members showing horses they lease or own!!!!! In addition, we are holding two "Newcomer" classes, one youth Newcomer and one Adult Newcomer class. Anyone can borrow a horse for these two classes.

The New England Miniature Horse Society values the Performance Horse and offers a full schedule of AMHA approved Driving Classes, Hunter, Jumper, Liberty, and Versatility. We are dedicated to our members and our goal is to make our shows not only fair, but fun!!!

For the first time in many years, we are holding a weekend of AMHA approved shows in Fonda, NY, June 20 and 21, 2009. These shows, the "Lou Voegeli Sr. Show I and II," promises to be one of our best ever! Plenty of stalls for your horses, Camper Hookups, an on site restaurant, a tack vendor (Star Lake Tack) and possibly a show photographer, will be available at this facility. In addition, there are many hotels and restaurants nearby.

In addition, we are having a "CLINIC WEEKEND" (Free clinics) that will be posted to our NEMHS website. We will have one on April 25th in Plympton, Mass on "First Aid for Ponies and Horses". Contact Lisa Goble for more information on this clinic at [email protected]. Our second clinic, on the same weekend, is Sunday April 26th and will be held at Bethel, CT . This clinic will feature an AMHA Carded Judge as the clinician and include a focus on performance. We anticipate that a team of driving minis will be providing a demo. Detailed information can be obtained from the NEMHS Show Committee chairperson, Lorraine O'Connell, at [email protected] or at 860-355-8940.

Hi Jane,

I am really excited about this year and all the activities planned! Fonda should be a hit especially with all the Novice and Amateur classes being offered. I wouldn't miss it for the world! Our clinics are approaching quickly and I hope people take the time to come and have an educational and fun weekend! Thanks for all your hard work and everyone else on the show comittee!!!

The Maine Miniature Horse Club rated show in June is also offering Ammy Level 1 AND 2 AOTE classes, as well as an Ammy Supreme class.
