Eohippus makes a great point. Weigh everything! I got my "feed scale" in the kitchenware department at Target for $14.00. It was the best $14.00 I've ever spent. I use it every day to weigh out the boys' meals. Just because a horse is the same size as another does not mean that one is more or less active than the other, nor does it mean they will metabolize their feed at the same rate.
