Hi

I am looking at buying a couple of books on mini's and would like to know if anyone here has a particular favourite.

Does anybody own either of these books and if so, would you recommend them:

Training Miniature Performance Horses

by Jennifer Alisia Garrett

&

The Book of Miniature Horses

by Donna Campbell Smith

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

One of my favorites is Miniature Horses, A Veterinary Guide for Owners and Breeders by Rebecca Frankeny, VMD. It's a nice resource to have on hand for some of the more common things mini owners tend to encounter.

"Miniature Horses: Their Care, Breeding and Coat Colors"

By Barbara Naviaux

Very informative, lots of useful information, and some great shots of the miniature colour range.

My number one choice for anyone wanting a book on miniatures.

This is the book I suggest to anyone who has or is thinking of getting a mini. It is an excellent book and covers just about every topic.

My top recommendations are two already mentioned, the Vetrinary Guide (which I keep a copy of in my medicine box) and the Naviaux book.
