I have been following this thread for a few days. I truely believe in vaccinations. I give Rabies, once a year.... A Frt Dodge 5 way once a year. During fall we give the herd a rhino booster. More for the brood mares, not the others....But the whole herd needed to be protected. But Rabies must be given 1 week prior or after giving the five way. And of course the brood mares get pnuemo kort k+b. BUT.....I NEVER GIVE WEST NILE. AND I NEVER GIVE RABIES TO A BRED MARE.
Maybe some may think it is too much, but I know alot do not vaccinate and at shows I want mine to be protected. I will say the only reason my Geriatric Arab gets her 5 way is that there are others here. But I would bet she holds a titer, but why take the chance.
