Jill
Aspiring Cowgirl
On Friday morning, April 4, just a little after midnight, the filly fairy paid us a visit!!!
BUT, we had a rocky start with our little filly. Had to have the vet out at 2:30am for a feeding tube. Vet was out again later Friday morning and each day over the weekend. She did start nursing on her own Friday morning but needed 2 plasma transfusions. All the vets' and our hard work has paid off. Our baby girl went from an estimated 10% chance to survive Friday morning to the thumbs up Sunday afternoon
So, now with a big sigh of relief, I feel safe to share the good news without worrying about jinxing any good luck. I can't even say how happy Harvey and I are that she has pulled through. I realized last night though that I think H may have been even more relieved than I was, which melts my heart
This LITTLE girl was about 18" and light as a feather. "Passion" is grulla with a huge star and snip and the cutest little baby doll head. Can't seem to get a picture that does her justice but after spending so much quality time with her the past 4 days, I can't not share her with you all.
And Here She Is........................ and thank you for looking at our baby girl
Whinny For Me's Passionately Dun, a/k/a "Passion"

PS She went from not being able to stand or nurse early Friday morning to becoming a "stall monkey" cantering around her stall, leaping in the air, spinning while airborne, and bucking on Sunday!!!
