OMG! My beautiful and wonderful daughter is 28yo today. That makes me old, ancient, an antique. Where or where did the time go? It seems like only yesterday she was small and full of fun and vigor. Everything was so new and exciting for her. Now here she is 28yo how did this happen?

I know exactly how you feel. My little girl so young and inocent, wanting to lay next to Mom on the couch, read me a book mommy turned 14 Saturday. Now it's a struggle to get a descent hug out of her.So sad that they grow up so fast. I remember cleaning out her closet this fall and finding all these little books we use to read together and crying because I knew I'd never read them to her again.

I feel your pain!!

My baby turned 30 last August and my other daughter will be 33 in March. When did I get that old?

The good part though are the grand children. You get to enjoy them and spoil them, then hand them back when they get cranky.

Have faith though, once they get older, all of the sudden you know a lot again and they love to give you hugs!!

I say keep those books set on her and make her listen. Record them somehow and sneak them into her Ipod then turn it on. I don't no it is certainly harder to deal with for us than them.

Tell that to my mother! My 27th birthday is this Friday and she would hardly appreciate being told that makes her an antique. *snort* She says you're only as old as you feel.

LOL -- I am agreeing with hobbyhorses mom.

My oldest daughter is 49 -- I can NOT figure out how she is so quickly catching up to me. For, "I" am certainly not ready to be old . I have way too many things to accomplish yet.

Well, I just found out i am going to be a Grandma for the first time. My daughter is 19. And I will be 43 in a few days. I am not quite sure how this all happened. Not quite sure when she grew up, or even started to like boys but I am thinking she does at this point. I miss my little girl and her squeeky baby doll. I miss holding her tight and making everything better for her. more importantly though, I miss her wanting me to hold her tight and make everything better.

I would help you out but I still can figure out how it is that I am turning 25 and will have a baby girl in just over 2 months. Where has the time gone?

My mom said on her 50th that that makes her half dead.......

Thankfully I dont have birthdays.

LOL!! I thought that when my daughter turned 21.....21??? That is just not possible that she is old enough to drink and go into casinos and...and...when did THAT happen?? LOL!! (I am "technically" turning 47 next month, but I refuse to believe I am that old......LOL!!)

Times flys doesnt it? My oldest will be 31 in May, and my baby boy will be 28 in June. My son has babys, 2 little boys, 4 years old and 14 months old.

I on the other hand am not old at all. Ive always had this bad body, gray hair and bad eyesight!!

Well, I can't say I'm old, but my son turns 2 this year. Seems like I just had him and now he's walking/talking and causing a ruckus!!! I'll never wish my next child to start walking!!!

Hahaha!!!

Well my oldest daughter is 36 and my oldest grandchild is 17 years old.

My body is saying old, but my mind says different

Yes my big sister Vicky is 28 today! Yay and happy birthday sissy! Love you!

As Marie (Shortpigs) "adpoted" daughter, she will have to deal with this again in a couple months as I will be hitting 21 come April!

I have always considered myself "middle age". Probably for the last 20 years. One day I looked at my boys and said "OMG, it is not me who is middle age. It is you guys."

I have absolutely NO IDEA how this happened. My first born is 46 and my baby just turned 44. They both treat me very well. I and my youngest actually live together. We have our moments but we both respect each others ideas, space and personal life. So we get along just fine.

Except for never having enough money, I'm satisfied with my life. Sometimes I wish I lived in a warmer place but then I would find something else not to like. So I take it day by day.

The years seem to sneak by when you aren't looking LOL, and the more of them you have behind you the faster they come! My girls are now 22 and 25.......don't know how that happened. I miss those days too when they were small, when most of what you told them they thought was brilliant

, but on the other hand we are reaching the days when we can actually be friends, and that is a good thing.

I managed to get thru yesterday. We played some XBOX Tiger Woods golf then raced to care for our horses and off to dinner at our local mexican restaurant. There we required them to move tables into rows for enough to seat 30 people. The best part was my little red headed boy and his sister came. They are so cute. Of course Erin of Mooreacres was there couldn't celebrate without her. It was nice all the guys came out and sang her Happy Birthday in spanish and we all had a good laugh. One of the guys there that I know looked at her then looked at me with that big grin of knowledge setting in. Then several of the guests joined her and her husband and headed to the local theater to watch a movie and I came home. Wow remember that age thing. Well that food no longer agrees with my stomach at all. Of course I forgot to take my camera. But here is a picture of her with one of our foals that we paid a visit to after she had been sold and grew up. This is Koda and Duckie's full sister Patches
