usually we find out about rescues from concerned people who tell us. Sometimes we stumble on them not meaning to (read Mona's story on our site) To date we have never bought one at auction yet as we have a rule that we will only bid on a rescue if no one else does. Some have been handed over by owner's who can no longer care for them due to financial problems or health problems.

I've done 10 rescues to date. Most from auctions. Not all come from bad home and some have a bad medical problems. 7 this year.
