Chestnut is recessive not dominant

A Black X Sorrel will give you Black or Bay if the Sorrel is carrying Agouti, or a Sorrel if the Black is not Homozygous for Black. If the Black happens to be Smoky Black (ie carrying Cream) you could also get a Buckskin or Palomino, again depending on the Sorrel carrying the Agouti necessary to produce a Buckskin
