My girls have started licking rocks and dirt :DOH! They have 3 different kinds of salt/mineral blocks + loose salt.

I read that alot of you feed free choice minerals without salt. I am having a hard time finding them. Can you feed horses the same mineral mix you get for cattle? I may be able to get those. Or is there a specific kind for equines. I can get salt with minerals all day long, but that's not what I want.

Any one have any name brands or sources I can try? We have a Southern States and a Tractor Supply to choose from unless I go internet shopping.

Thanks!

We feed a Kent brand ration balancer with Kent Equine minerals that we purchase at Tractor Supply.

Hope that helps

I add purina 12:12 to my horses feed daily and they always have white salt available to them. I get the 12:12 at the feed store.
