To those of you that also have Shetlands and will be attending Congress for the first time, we welcome you, as well as many old friends too, hope you will help us with a food donation, and come have a wonderful lunch, friendship, and a few laughs too!

Congress Pot Luck Luncheon

Thursday August 4th Twelve Noon

It’s that time of year to be thinking about what you will be bringing to the Annual Congress Pot luck Luncheon. Hosted by Fiddlestix Miniatures & Shetlands (Jim, Karen & Kelli Shaw) and Sharrway Farm & Transportation (Sharron & Wayne Hinkle).

We would like to extend our invitation to you the exhibitor to come participate have a great time and join in the Fun, Food and Fellowship of this year’s Congress Luncheon.

Once again Sharrway Farm and Transportation and Fiddlestix Miniatures & Shetlands will provide the majority of the meat. We will have BBQ Brisket, BBQ Ribs, and Ham.
There will be hot dogs on hand for the kids. Some of the favorite dishes that will be back this year will be the wonderful Wisconsin Cheese tray provided by Jackie Tyler of Emerald Glenn Farms, Belinda Bagby of B & B Training makes a fabulous fruit salad, Shirley Taylor of Taylor Pony Farm with her broccoli casserole dish that was so well received a few years ago, and Barbara Davis of Log Cabin Miniatures & Shetlands with her famous Banana Pudding.

If you have a favorite dish, your State or Parrish is known for something delightful bring it and join us for lunch. Other dishes that are needed: Potato Salad, Mix Salad, Macaroni Salad, Bread, Rolls, Relish Trays, Vegetable Trays, Baked Beans, Red Beans, Green Bean Salad, Green Bean Casserole, Dips, Chips, Cakes, Cookies, Brownies, Fruit Cobblers, drinks from Ice Tea, Lemonade, Cokes, Water and etc. Please be sure you bring your lawn chair for a place to sit. We are also furnishing the plates, napkins, forks/spoons/knives and bowels.

If you are already planning on bringing a dish please email me at sharrway@arbuckleonline.com so I can start compiling a list of food items, and as the date draws closer we’ll post those items that have not been listed. If you are unable to bring a dish but would like to join us for lunch, a donation of $5.00 can get you a plate full of food, a good dose of friendship and memories to boot!

Thanks, Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Hi Bill

As KayKay said the location is Rantoul IL. If you are coming for the first time to the American Shetland Congress let me be the first to welcome you. Please stop by our stalls and introduce yourselves. This Luncheon has become a trdition for the Shaws and Hinkles. However this may be the last one, so lets make it a GOOD one, due to the possible restrictions at the new facility in St Louis...Lets hope we can continue to do these great get togethers.

Karen and I look forward to meeting and greeting you.

Sharron
