Hi everyone, I'm not the greatest on color, and I have has a Q for all of you.

I have a welsh pony x mare, and I want to Not get a double dilute.

What Would breeding to a liver chestnut produce, (color possibilities??) and am I correct in thinking that I Can't get a DD out of this stallion? Mare's parents were a chestnut QH pony mare, dad was a pali welsh stallion. Don't know what the stallion's parents were.

Mare is a Really light pali, and the stallion is that super dark red with white White flaxen mane and tail... Help please!!

A DD foal can only result when both parents are carrying one dilute gene.

Thus a Chestnut X Palomino (whatever shade either are is irrelevant) cannot result in a DD foal.

The surprises generally happen when a Black is crossed on a Palomino or Buckskin or even another Black- Black can "hide" Cream, and without testing, pass unnoticed!!

The cross you are considering cannot give a DD foal.
