Coggins question about weanling

We are taking our weanling colt Nehi to the Championship show in Kansas City later this month. He does have to have a coggins before he goes, right? He will be weaned by then. Would he have to have one if he was still with his mom? Thanks, Sheila

If he's on his mother, he does not need a coggins. If he's off his mother, he does need one.
