AM REALLY NEW TO CLIPPING. HAVE OSTER CLIPPERS AND NEED TO KNOW WHAT SIZE BLADE TO USE TO JUST HAVE A NEAT LOOK, DO NOT WANT THEM SHAVED! DO NOT SHOW. JUST HAVE PETS.

When I clip my broodmares and horses (that don't go to shows) to get them comfortable in the hotter weather we use a #10 blade on their bodies and heads and then a #30 or higher for bridle paths and whiskers.

A #7 or #10 would give you a nice cut.
