Sire is Kobecks Chief O Hatchee - grey blanket appie

Dam is Western Original Star - black mare sired by appie stud and buckskin dam

This yearling filly has dapples and also there are tiny white spots throughout her body, mostly on her neck.

Thanks.

I guess I just wondered about the dappled rump with the front of her body being grey with tiny white spots and shades ranging from rey to white.

I appreciate your response.

Her Sire looks like a leopard appie now but was a grey banket as a yearling.

The colour of appie bred horses is quite interesting. You can not be sure what you'll end up with.

Most probably a combination of Silver Black and Appy. She is definitely Silver Black, and Appy roaning, or snowflaking can cause the "variations" on her front that you are seeing.
