My two show horses were clipped real early as they had to show in April, the rest I used the shedding blade on, they are starting to look real good. Even though my grandsons two geldings are shed out they still need to be clipped, but,

I had a foal born the end of Feb. he still has his foal coat and runs the fence as he thinks he is big stallion, his hair is two inches think.

We have a busy weekend as my grandsons last soccer game is Sat. at 9, then we are going to a Native American Pow Wow, as I'm Native, so Sat is out of the question.

Sunday morning i'M JUDGING a ride in the morning, and won't be home till afternoon, but hubby has promised me he will hold colt so I can get some of his fuzz off. I'll try to get before and after pictures. Before this time the temps were still too low at night, but right now we are in the middle of a heat wave, and I think now is the perfect time to clip this little brat.

I need to get mine clipped. One question I have a 3 wk old foal. This is my first foal. When do you all clip your foals for the first time ?

Right now we are having a heat wave, but if it is as hot there as it is here and the nights are warm, maybe you could just clip the neck, chest and some off the belly, then do more as it gets hotter. Just an idea.
