On July 21st and 22nd, Aranaway Farm is anticipating a fun time, learning experience, and practice event at the inaugural VSE CDE Schooling weekend in Southern Oregon. The weekend is set up so that beginning carriage drivers can school their horses and themselves with instruction, and will also present Preliminary Drivers a new challenge to hone their skills.
Maureen Harkcom of Happ’s Inc. from Ethel Washington will be the “Power behind the Aranaway Throne” this weekend insuring everything runs smoothly and correctly. Saturday everyone will have access to a regulation size Dressage ring, a Cones Course, and a marked Marathon course, complete with Hazards to include a water crossing. There is instruction on all phases. Sunday will be run as a CDE with judged Dressage tests, the Cones Course, and the Marathon Course. Will have feedback scores, but no placing…..just a great opportunity to learn and grow in the CDE world with no pressure, but a great experience for all. Throw in a BBQ with all the fixings for a nominal fee and a wine tasting from an outstanding local Vineyard and we have the makings for a memorable Rogue Valley get-a-way at Aranaway Farm in beautiful Southern Oregon.
NOTE: SMALL PONIES wanting and willing to work in a VSE size Dressage arena are welcomed this weekend. We have had inquires to such and we did it ourselves with our little Morgan gelding many years ago.
