Finally gave Austin a bath today after i had turned him out to eat grass. I cleaned him all up- trimmed his fetlocks, bridle path, "beard" from under his jaw, whiskers, and tail (it was so long it was dragging!) . Not sure on the size of the pictures so the links are listed below. He's the sweetest thing- always putting his ears forward and looking at the camera. I love him!

If you're wondering about the vet wrap on his leg, he's ok. I found a small cut under his fetlock just above his hoof after i shaved the hair off. It was relatively new, so i cleaned it up and medicated it...must have done it in the pasture somehow. I already checked it out but didn't find anything that could have done it. That boy is always gettin into trouble! (His hooves are also a bit long in these, but he's being trimmed tomorrow). Sorry for blabbering so much!!!! And thanks for letting me share!

Awww he looks lovely!!! Yes please do tell how old, tall, and what kind of pinto he is. . .as I love his color although with my *developing* breeding program I'm aiming for splash overos and medicine hats. . .but I would take this guy in in a heartbeat

How tall is he now?

He is actually only 30.5" The pics make him look taller, but he's really refined now, with nice long legs.

i'm very proud of this little guy. Thanks a lot for making it possible for me to own him Shawna!

And to answer the other questions, he is a grulla pinto. He's two years and four months old. His father was an overo silver dun, and his mom a tobiano black and white. I'm glad you like him! If you want to see more pictures or have any other questions feel free to PM me

He's a cute little guy! Love how leggy he is.

Just a sidenote... and I can't tell what is under your wrap but...

You should NEVER wrap a horse with vetwrap on the skin/hair... there should ALWAYS be something under it (gauze rolls work perfectly). Vetwrap can shrink and cause a lot of damage to the skin and circulation. The best way to wrap a leg (particularly little mini legs) is to apply your ointment to a telfa pad, wrap some gauze around it to hold it in place, and THEN apply a wrap of vetwrap or elastikon to hold it all in place. It is okay if a little bit of vetwrap or elastikon sticks above or below the gauze, but never wholly directly to the skin or hair.
