I have a 5yr old maiden mare covered last October, blood tested in February with a negative result.

This spring/ summer I ran her wilth my stallion, she stayed in heat for the 1st 8 weeks with the stallion covering her daily...

I know this is odd, vet was involved and she was put on Regi mate. Blood tested 6 weeks ago and confirmed in foal. 40-100 days.

Externally scanned... vet was not sure what was going on and gave up.

Problem, mare is now HUGH, 169CM around stomach with a build up in front of bag.

Dropped V look, waddling and restless. leaking loose stools and fluid from bowel as she walks..

Swollen but walnut like (what nots).

We think we can feel foal...

May I have your views please.

If its a this year mating the foal will be due April/May next year.

Vet due over again this week.

Sounds pretty much like you're gonna get a fall foal this year. Blood tests are not always correct. My Buffy tested negative and had a foal 200 days later. Good luck

I agree with the last person that posted. I think you are going to have a foal soon.

I would proceed with that in your plans and have her in a foaling stall at night and watch her during the day.

Best of luck to you and keep us posted.
