Thank you! I chose Equine Senior because when I went to the local feedstore to get Junior they were out, but said Senior should be the closest equivalent. And I saw on here that someone said they feed their yearlings Junior or Senior so I figured it would be ok for now. Better than SafeChoice...

I bought some Purina senior feed today at the feed store for her, they were out of Equine Junior. How much would you recomend feeding her?

Some horses (generally the older ones) are content by themselves. But it is pretty rare. My mini isn't in the same pen as other horses but her pen is in the middle of a pasture that houses my two full sized geldings and she is just fine. But she will freak if we take the other two on a trail...

I have a 5 month old filly and she gets a cup of SafeChoice, a cup of oats and a little bit of calf manna twice a day. With all of the alfalfa she wants, but she only goes through about a flake every couple days.

After reading alot of these post it started making me think of my filly. She is a really red sorrel right now, but it looks like she has a gray undercoat. And her mother is gray. So do you think she is probably going to shed out gray this spring?

There isn't a big issue with horses being shipped to slaughter after the law passed but I don't think horses that are not regestered should be bred. Maybe a law making you have a lisence to breed would help, like they have for exotics. But people arn't just going to stop breeding. But slaughter...
