I have an embarassing question to ask... I cannot remember what the name for the mini-shetland cross is. I know it starts with an A, but I'm drawing a blank! Help please :stupid:

Thanks,

I think your talking about the American Show Pony?

A american show pony is a cross between a mini and a hackney, shetland or something along those lines.

There registry is called ASPR (american show pony registry) and you can find more info at www.shetlandminiature.com and just click where it says show ponies.

They also have a National Show pony now and its a larger pony that can go up to 14.2hh.

Hope thats what you were looking for.

PS: if the www.shetlandminiature.com site doesnt work try www.shetlandminiatures.com ...i forgot if there is an S in it.

I think thats the national show pony. I know its not ASPR because their registration is specifically limited to full blooded Hackneys, Shetlands or any combination of the 2 that meets the hieght requirement.

Nope, those aren't it. They look like little TB's or Warmbloods. But thanks!
