    Footwear

I too wear an old pair of crocs that are no longer suitable for the medical office. I wear crocs almost all of the time.....work or play....they are easy to wash and clean up well and look smashing with a bit of "armour all"...yes, I know it is for cars...but it really makes them look like new...

    Docking a Dog's Tail

After the dog is older that three days old the surgery is technically an amputation. I personally would not do it...but whats' s done is done. We have a wonderful boxer mix rescue who has a whip for a tail...but I wouldn't trade it for a nubbin! lol Good luck with the recovery process. I hope...

Rescueing animals or at least stopping

I totally understand you. I no longer work at a vet and so my options are a bit fewer ...but I feed all of the stray dogs along my route to work. While I am unable to catch them and get the tamed and homes...at least I know that they are not hungry. It kills me to see thin, starving animals...

    Pony constantly "bossing" mini around

I got a pony on Oct 19 of this year to keep my mini company. The pony was skinny and not in the best of health in Oct. Now that he has had a few months of ample groceries he is becoming more aggressive with the mini. Neither of them is gelded. Should I geld the pony and cross my fingers that...

    Chiropractors

OK, folks... I have been working at a Chiropractic office for just about 20 months. When I started working there I knew NOTHING about Chiropractic care. I had come from a Veterinary background...long story there...lol. Anyway, In the past 20 months I have learned so much more about the human...

    Gassy Horse

I have had this horse for about 4 weeks. He has been grazing on the winter rye for a week, has plenty of hay and gets 2 portions of feed each day. Yesterday and today I noticed that he is very gassy...with a bit of moisture emited with the gas. He has a small streak of "dirt" down his back...

    Grrrrrrrrr

My husband bites his tongue when it comes to my new love of horses...as he spends a small fortune on his motorcycle which he races. What I spend on the horses, dogs and cats is nothing compared to what he is spending on his bike. So, I feel no guilt at all! We have only been married for 2.5...

What is suggested to have on hand......

As I peruse the Jeffers Equine catalog it occurs to me that I really do not have any supplies for any minor emergencies. What do you suggest I have on hand...just in case?

    Tag...your it...

I get the same response from a few of the patients at the Chiropractic practice where I work. One guy..whom I only have any patience for because he has had a stroke..but he was a bit of a jerk before that... Anyway... He was yelling at me in the lobby that my mini was a pony and that there...
