Youth 7 and Under Classes--Can I go in too?

My three year old son is going to possibly start showing this year. His horse is also new to showing, although I don't think he'll be a problem. Is it acceptable at AMHA shows for a parent to go in the Youth 7 and under classes with a young child, just in case? I shouldn't have touch the horse or my son, but you never know what is going to happen.

I probably shouldn't comment since I am fairly unfamiliar with AMHA, but AMHR does permit parents to stand in the arena with 7 year olds and under classes. I would certainly assume that AMHA would permit the same. Like you say, you should not touch the horse or youth, but standing in for safety is perfectly acceptable.
