Spectam

I can't seem to get my topic search button to work.

I swear I read someone talking about using Spectam for foals. I just can't find it. Does anyone know how much to give etc?

Our vet here prescribes Spectam for foal scours. I've got a bottle here that he's written 5cc orally for 5 - 7 days. I can tell you that it seems to really work!

Thanks so much for the info. I have a little one day old colt that has really developed a bad case. I have access to the Spectam and thought I'd give it a try. Thanks!

I think I would give a call to the vet with a foal that young. They can go south so quickly.

I agree with Annette and you might want to check the dosage for a foal that young.

I am in touch with the vet and we are deeping a close eye on things. He seems a bit better now. I hope it keeps going that way!
