For a horse with a really fabulous head.... huge eyes..defined jaw.. tiny muzzle... what is the best type of show halter to go with... ? WEithout having a bunch to just try on and see what works... I can never remember if its best to go with something really plain... maybe just a coloured noseband only... to not detract from the head.... or go with something with some flash... a metallic noseband and something on the sides... to draw the attention to the head.

Also... what would be the best color to use for a buckskin?

Thank you.

I really like the Victor halters on most horses. On a buckskin, I'd probably go with a black halter with gold rings and gold piping and a nice concho to finish it off.

If you got a great head why hide it with fancy stuff. Keep it simple plain cabled halter with a black noseband with gold inlay. Like Jill said, get the best halters for the bests heads.
