I have shoulder length hair and am wondering if I need to put it up in a pony tail or if it is okay if I just have it back out of my face? Is there a preferred way in the judges eye? Thanks alot. Lori

yea most judges like it out of your face, when i show i put it up and under my cowboy hat.

As long as your hair is neat, out of your face, and does not obstruct your Exhibitor Number on your back, I don't think it matters. The judges I've met over the years have a major pet peeve about long hair getting in the way of the Number you'll be wearing.

I am not a judge, but I think you present a better picture if your hair is in a bun or something so it is not hanging and sometimes blowing in your face.Neatness counts I think.

That's one of my pet peeves.

Longer hair hanging and dangeling in the face or around the face or swinging around in my humble opinion is just not a nice turned out effect.

More than a pony tail, I think it should all be secured including any loose side ends such as layers in a very neat bun or in a french braid to prevent movement and also easy visual to your number.

I'd also vote for it up. And probably throw on a clip on pony tail, too, but then I am hair challanged!!! :bgrin
