Some weeks ago I posted on here about loosing a little mini that I'd not long purchased. She came with another foal who is still with me.
Anyway my little mini 'Potty' keeps doing cowpat poops and I'm worried as I'd like to see his poops a bit firmer. At first I thought it may be spring grass coming through, but it's lasted quiet a time now.
Feedwise he has a handful of stud and condition mix, Alfalfa chaff and a small amount of beet. I had also been feeding a small amount of boiled barley, but took him off this over a week ago in case it didn't suit him.
Some years ago I used a product called Protexin Bio Premium for my Ex racehorse who had gut problems. It's like little fish pellets and worked wonders on him, but I know minis are so different and I don't want to give him anything that I shouldn't. Here's the link to the product http://www.petvetcare.co.uk/acatalog/Equine_Range.html
Does anyone have any other suggestions? His worming is up to date and he is fed a small feed twice per day.
