Anyone get the prices something came up at the last minute and I couldnt go! Lorie

We were not able to go either.

Joe Hawbaker said several Appaloosa's were to be consigned.

Anyone get prices on the appies and the types?

Wish we could have been there.....

Thanks,

Billie

Horses weren't selling well at all. I think the highest selling horse was one of Toni Reece's mares. She was a red pinto and brought $1500. I'm not even sure if she was bred or not.

I went to the sale , prices were very low i got a jsw buckskin mare heavy in foal to six gems roan n out blue for 800 and a komokos little king supreme grandaughter who is bay roan ...I have the list some where, i will have to find it there was a couple colts that only sold for 50. Some of the really good bred horses were only bringing 500 - 800 ..

did you notice any prices on show carts ?

we had 2 like new Jerald carts (1 open & 1 closed wheel)

we were going to take

but we had 2 mares at 360 & 355 days and couldn't leave them

we thought they would have foaled well before the sale when

we planned to go but its a 4 hours trip 1 way for us

and would have been too long to take a chance

So sorry to hear horse prices were so low, but sounds like some good bargains were had

Joe sold a couple metal easy entries for 250 the others i did not see , i went looking for a show cart and he didnt have any show carts just easy entries and a mini wagon , I may be interested in the open wheeled show cart could u please pm me pics and price please .

I personally think that auctions screw the whole miniature horse market up. $50.00 for a colt??? Come on, seriously. Auctions get bad raps becuase they are percieved to be dumping grounds for animals. Even though that is not always true, it does happen in some cases. I cannot stand auctions, just because a excellent quality horse is not offered for what it should be offered for. Just think, have you seen a horse that has been on a sale board forever, and then one day, that horse is immediately consigned to an auction? I would never consign my horses to an auction. But then again, this is just my opinion. But, I know there are many people that will disagree with me. But thats okay, because I have my own strong opinions and I will stick to them...

Dis you all miss this at the top of the forum page?http://www.miniaturehorsetalk.com/index.php?showtopic=106684

actually the post says

Posts to auctions without current paid advertising on LB will not be permitted until AFTER the sale. Price lists after the sale will be permitted. Thank you.
Posting prices after a sale and discussing it is very much acceptable
