I've been following this story all morning, mainly to see if the dog made it through surgery. He was released to chase a robbery suspect and shot twice, at least one time in the head. He went in for emergency surgery and made it through. He's expected to recover but he's still under "guarded" condition. If you have an extra prayer, I'm sure he could use all that he could get. What a shame!!
In some places firing at a police dog is the same as firing at a police officer. Hopefully they'll throw the book at this guy.
