I am planning on making a quilt for my senior project. My grandmother is going to help but she wants me to have some sort of pattern in mind before she does. Do any of you have pictures of just VERY basic quilts? Like the ones that are just plan squares with a simple border. I have never quilted before so I need something very easy to do. Also, how big is the standard quilt?

Thank You

Jessica

RUN, do not walk, to the library and get any book by Georgia Bonesteel...or better yet, any of the quilt magazines on the supermarket shelves...there are 'basic instructions' in each...

The easiest first project you could possibly do is a 'rag quilt'. Here's a pattern for one I drew up for the AOL Quilting Community when it was still around:

Hope this helps! Don't panic, quilting is FUN! :aktion033:

Hugs!!!

Here is a baby quilt that I made for someone who had these particular colors in mind for her nursery. Very basic and fun to do.

The quilt you will do will be on a larger scale.
