My husband and I have been promoting our minis
by doing demonstrations around some of our local fairs..
First we start off by letting children come up and get some pictures on the cart.
If parents do not have a camera, I take the photos than email them back to them.
Usually a big hit, at least 10-14 children wanting pictures taken.
Than my husband drives, to show the different gaits, walk, pleasure trot, and extended trot, than reverse, and reverse on the tiangle.
Does the figure 8, and goes through about 6 pylons.
Than puts one wheel in the hoop does 360 circle.
Puts one wheel on teeter totter and goes across.
and backs up to a jump and knocks off pole.
Only one picture of Double O Seven hitched.
While he is unhitching, I read about a page of information and history about the miniature horse. The audience, has a few minutes to ask questions.
Than he takes our 2 year gelding to show a horse in training for obstacle.
This is Star with my husband at one of the shows we went to this year.
Than we switch and I take Double O Seven to show how the obstacles should be done.
These are pictures at one of the places we put on the demonstration.
While we where on a break, I had my husband take some pictures.
Oops wrong shoes! I did change back before the next demonstration...
It was so hot, had to give my feet a break too...
We have a mega phone that we could explain each obstacle
and what they where to do.
Showed them how the minis jump, did only 4 jumps was enough for me..
One of me showing the hoop that goes over him and he also did the front feet in and circled.
The umbrella and circled chair.
Back through L shape and side step L shape.
Than front feet on wooden platform and do a 360 circle
The final obstacle Double O Seven does is the teeter totter.
Back and forth at least 6 times...
Hope you enjoy the pictures, and our demonstration..
We sure have had a lot of fun this year.. and met some really
nice people and children...
Had 3 fall fairs to do and have 4 booked for next year.
Hope to add more tricks for Double O Seven.
Back home waiting for his super with his friends.
