My mare was bred and is due August 6th. She did not come back in heat, so we think she is bred.

Today I looked out and saw my 3 year old STUD mating her. Does this mean that she is not pregnant. I didn't actually see him get her, but he was on her. She was not backing up to him, but she was not kicking him either. I saw wetness under her tail afterwards.

I had a Mare Misty that bred through her pregnancies until about 2 months before foaling.

 Anything is possible

Thanks for answering. I was out there again and when he trys now, she is biting at him. I wonder if it is becuase both his testicles just dropped and he is feeling like a real stud now. Who knows. She looks pregnant to me.

If she is truly bred - that is good way to get her to abort. I would remove the stallion immediately or risk losing your baby.
