Looking for a specific type of bit and I can not seem to find one in a size I need any help would be apprecaited.

I am looking for a D ring 3.5 inch french link copper would be best but will take any D ring french link

Any suggestions? I have tried all the normal mini places with no luck they all only have half cheeks

Did you try BRUBACHER HARMESS??

THey carry a vast array of bits -- not all in mini sizes but maybe could order if they did not have what you need.

You can put BRUBACHER HARNESS SUPPLIES in your search engine & it will pop up their site for you.

phone number is 519 - 669 2064 -- website is the best though for starters

You might try Celine Rickards at Carriage Driving Essentials. She doesn't have much mini stuff on her website but when I've talked to her she said she can custom order just about anything in a mini bit, I guess from Myler but with various cheek pieces and such. And she was quoting me some pretty good prices, too!

Try Iowa Valley Carriage Bits They have a Miniature and Pony Eggbutt French Link Snaffle - Mild bit for training 3.75 and 4.25 inch only --- that will be much the same as the D-ring you are looking for and it is excellent quality and reasonable price. They are fabulous to work with as well. The bit in question is near the bottom of the page.

Herron's has someone that makes their bits (http://www.herronstables.com). So you may be able to contact them and ask them if you can get one custom made. Thinking it'll run upwards to $50. I got an eggbutt stainless from Prime design (http://www.primedesign.com). I know Jim Curry sells a copper one, but not sure if its eggbutt or D ring. You might want to check out his site (think its http://www.jcminitack.com).

Have you driven her in a french link??? Hate to see you fork out tons of money for one and then she doesn't like it.

Maybe you could borrow one or find a used one to see if she likes it. Then if she does, proceed to buy a nicer one. I've done that with my shetland. I'm on like our 3rd bit.
