learning to bow and rollover at the same time.

I need some guidance. I have taught my 9 month old gelding to bow, but generally after bowing he either stands back up, but most times he goes down to a roll. Will roll a few times and then want you to rub his belly

and then come back up to a laying down up position. My questions is how do I not get him to not drop to a roll. Please bare in mind he is only 9 mo old.

Advise would be appreciated.
