Kitten meets Little Chick

This innocent little chick just hatched a few hours ago...

Then, Shadow the kitten, came to see what that moving ball of fluff was...

This picture is right before he pounced. OH!

We had to take Shadow away before he hurt the chick. Little chick is now happily living where chicks really belong... in the chicken coop with mommy hen to protect him/her!

The kitten is my little sister's. She got him for her 7th birthday.

I need to post pictures of little chicks brothers and sisters. Today we let the chicks out of the chicken pen with mommy to start free-ranging and are having a blast! I just LOVE little babies!
