Kimrule how is your donkey

I was just wondering how your donkey was doing and if she foaled yet or is getting closer?

No baby yet, but her bag is changing...nipples are getting longer. I'm watching her like a hawk. I figure it will be in a month or so. Right now she looks like she has a very large pumpkin growing inside her!!

I'm not sure exactly what to look for, and right now I'm trying to sell my two year old colt (he's in the pen I need to put HER in!

) and trying to decide what to put into my foaling kit.

"But I've never birthed a baby, Miz Scarlet!!"

I'm starting to get just a BIT nervous!

You need tea towels and lots of hot water

hey thats what they do in the movies

The most basic kit

bale of straw

towels

twine

scissors

gentle iodine or nolvasan

dose syringe

those are what I cannot do without and putting them all (except straw) after sterilizing into a rubbermaid type tub keeps them clean and together for when needed.

glad to hear she is doing well..... so where are the updated pictures we need to see the progress

but Kim remember if she is loud now.. she will be very loud once she has her baby to. I am betting Nila can hear her from her house
