Captured the most adorable moment the other day and had to share. I didn't even notice it until I was looking through pictures again a little bit ago! This colt's dam was a maiden and while she never tried to reject this little guy, she is REALLY lacking in the mothering department. He has to fight to nurse and he is already very independent (all of my other mares freak out when they are more than a few inches away).
She is getting better though, and I am so happy that I caught this neat mother/son moment.
