just a bit windy

So we are having just the best time with wind here in southern alberta, winds just made it up to 130-140km/h today!!!

thought I would share some pictures.

this was a grain bin that was behind our house that rolled over the house, my brothers car and took out my fence before coming to a rest on our driveway,

the gas station sign

public works removing trees from streets

uprooting trees in town

tree beside my grandmas house

not to mention picking up semi trailers and throwing both truck and trailer over into the ditch. It is really a hurricane in the middle of the prairies

see if maybe you can see a video of a truck that was driving last week in much less wind than today!! hope it works

No! I just cannot do that! As much as I love Canada, I do not wish to participate in the freezing kind of temps or that wind! Ouch!

yes it gets a bit hectic around her, this is the second time this year that it has been clocked at over 130km/h! we are used to up to 100km and most days are 20-50km/hr lol you do get used to it and I think it keeps away some of the cold snaps...maybe

everybody is safe except for the people that think they can drive semi trailers and horse trailers in it, they usually end up in the ditch, nobody hurt so far tho, so that is good!

Wow...thats pretty intense! But the scenery minus that grain bin in the first photo is beautiful.

ha ha yes minus the bin we do have a nice view, a highway but you can see for miles and then behind the house is the rocky mountains!

Whew! We are used to "the wind comes sweeping down the plains" here in Oklahoma, but you are giving us some competition.

Every place I've ever lived had significant wind. I wonder if there is any place on earth that the wind does not blow? Some times I would like to move there...
