Seems pretty accurate to me, Fever acts EXACTLY like a 13 year old boy!

Well I've always heard that a ''horse year'' is equivalent to three years. A ''dog year'' is equivalent to seven years. Of course, they mature a little differently so it seems your chart is more complicated but maybe more accurate. Thanks for sharing.

You always find the most interesting things hehe. COOL! My 25 Year old Mare and Gelding haha. Last year they were defintly int he "immature teenage stage" haha dragging people and whatnot . For thos ein this situation it shall pass.

My vet wasn't far off when he said my old mare Gramma (30 years and counting) was the equivalent of about a 90-year old human. :D

She still runs around w/the best of 'em (just not for as long).

Something similar was posted in Miniature Horse World a few months back.

Thanks for posting this!

Thank you for posting this! I always wondered how old in human years my husband's first horse would have been. She was a beautiful grulla AQHA from racing stock. We had to put her down eight years ago, which was very very very hard. She was the young at heart age of 37. At 35 she still loved to go trail riding and it was hard to keep her at a walk, she just wanted to go go go.

Lucky Girl to have had that many happy years with you guys. That is wonderful to hear. :new_shocked:

We had a quarter arab ( Gelding ) bought him at what we where told 11 years old.

Vet checked teeth and said about 13 - 15 years old.

Sold him at 21 - 23 years old to a school for handy cap children. Always wondered how long he lived his name was Reble, now you know where I get my name.

Our first ( Horse ) great babysitter and taught us everything we know. ( back in 1986 )

gosh reble you always come up with interesting things for us :aktion033: thanks!!!!!!!!!! :bgrin

Wow me and my mini are the same age no wonder we get on so well lol. Thanks thats interesting and it reminded me of a question that i always wanted to know. When is the horse a year older. I have more knowledge on thoroughbreds and know that they all are a year older at the start of the new year but does this apply for minis or are they like us and have their on the day they were born? Sorry if it sound a silly question just curious.

hehehe that so fits some of my horses. My coming 2 year old is still acts like a baby when with other horses, but all macho when on the other side of the fence.

As for the height chart I dont really beleive it tells me my filly will be 38+ and I know she wont be.
