He took care of my son, the house and worked. My mom was still alive and did get to help some with my son. I wish there was something I could do to help. Even if you just need a ear, I'm Here....

In 2000 an 18 wheeler decided to be reckless and changed my life forever. I can understand where you are at. I spend most of my day at the computer. That man changed my life forever. Thank God I am blessed with a wonderful husband who has had to take over the house work and taking care of me. I can do precious little. A lot of people don't think about the strain on the caregiver. If you would like to, PM me with your phone no. and I would be glad to chat with you. I know where you are at. I've been there. Feel better and keep your spirits up. I know its hard but try.

Hi Nikki...happy to hear your doing a bit better, even if it is just sitting up in bed, that is wonderful ! I sounds like you are quite a ways from home. Is there anyway you could transfer to another hospital or rehab facility closer to home (maybe not now...but down the road) When I worked at a nursing home I took care of alot of patients of all ages and situations...we were like the halfway house from hospital to home. Hopefully you can transfer soon...you'll feel so much better just to be closer to home. And trust me your husband, family & friends would drive days to see you if that is what it took. Again I wish I lived closer...even if it was to shovel poop
