Equispot/Tick treatment

Hi everyone - we've had really good luck with Equispot drop-on permethrin for ticks with our big horses. I was looking to see if we could use it for a mini but the directions I see online say not for ponies, minis, or donkeys. Does anyone use anything similar on their small ones? Marty's had several ticks already and Lyme is endemic here.

I use freedom 45, which is a similar product. I actually didn't read the directions so I can't say if I can use it on minis or not, but I have been....I use half of it, not the whole tube.
