There have been 10 to 11 confirmed cases in MN - starting at a barrel race in Winona Co. They have tested positive to EHV-1 but a good number of them have neurological signs not just respiratory. Some have been euthanized. Latest confirmed case was today at Anoka Equine. They are asking that people please keep their horses home until it can pass. Stillwater, Anoka, and the MN State vets are putting out updates pretty much daily I believe. Please find them on the internet or facebook and keep updated. There was also a confirmed case in Cedar Rapids, IA in a horse who had traveled to MN for a day and came home with it. Remember when it comes to showing we all use some of the same facilities. It's better to lose some time now vs during the show season or worse yet lose a horse or more.

A QH person posted on a fb page for NM horsemen today that she'd gotten an email from the NM Livestock Board saying a case had been identified in New Mexico.
