my name is on one website as an owner of a rare bloodline arabian stallion that i owned for only 6 months and i have tried to get it removed... the owners don't seem to be maintaining the site anymore, but there it sits lost in cyberspace.

also various newspaper articles archived somewhere and listed as the mom in some of my daughter's school play announcements and as mom of my Marine son in articles printed about him. what do you find when you run a google on your name?

Nothing for me, but lots of folks seem to have my name!!

I found waaaaaaay too much about myself on there. I had to fill out a contestant bio sheet for the PWRA rodeo finals. Come to find out that is posted on their website so when you google my name you find out pretty much everything about me. Not cool if you ask me. I do know there are several other people with my name as well, but my actual info comes up first.

Interesting, that's pretty much what I found the last time I tried it. There was one listing, not me, she's a lawyer I think.

Edited to add: I just tried it again; I'm now on the website for the farm where I purchased my stallion and somewhere for a charity thing. Then all else is for someone else that is the chairperson of a committee for an organization.

Still absolutely nothing under my maiden name.

Not much! Just my high schools "grad project" which has a short "where are you now" kinda blurb on a lot of people from my class. Most of them seem to be years old though so I don't think it would be helpful for keeping in touch, but I did find out a few have had children since graduation in 2002!

When I did mine I didn't get much - my name was on a Breyer website for some photos I submitted, on CMHR and Guide horse no as sponsors/supporters. My sisters obit came up from the newspaper. Thats it...nothing exciting. However, I did my maiden name and a bunch of websites came up with some model....funny, she looked nothing like me!

Yep, I got a bunch of porn stars and one lady who was a singer who lived about 30 min from where I used to live! Crazy thing is I have wanted to be a singer all my life, and here she is, 30 min from me WITH MY NAME. Lol.

WOW This is odd!!!! I typed in my name and it seems I placed 6th in a High school track meet and I can't run! Next it seems I was born Dec 13 1900 and I know that is not right! It also seems that I write for a Natrual resources magazine, It also seems I am a RN, Hey cool I am the President of Radford University!

Pretty interesting!

Ha! I found several of me out there...must be my ultra ego...even funnier though, I put my husband's name in...it seems that there are two very famous Jerry MacDonalds and they are exact opposites. One is a preacher and the other is an archeologist/paleantologist type of guy....hmmm. And neither is my hubby ( not that I would wish that anyway).

I have googled my name and it comes up quite a bit, all to do with these short, little horses.

I did me, first two entries are for a big lawyer Lynette Jacobs, then my web site then 3 things about the lawsuit I was recently exonerated from then that I am on Bruces Web site and Doc Taylors..... and the article I wrote for Guidehorseno.com and finally the blurb they put in the Guideway magazine when I sent them pics of me and Esther at nationals. The only other Lynette Jacobs listed is dead too.

I hadn't done a google search, but when going through the stats on our website I saw that someone had found our website by way of entering my first & last names, town & province into www.answers.com When I did that search it took me to our website. Since I had a pretty good idea who had done the search--local person, long story--I wasn't too thrilled to find that someone could hunt me up that way. I changed our website so that my first & last name are no longer together. It took awhile, but now a search of my name on answers.com does NOT bring up our website.

It now pretty much brings up the same list of links as google--there are some links based on my first name, some on my last, none of which are anything to do with me--and apparently there are a few people that have my same name...I died tragically at the age of 15 after being hit by a car, I recently turned 18, I'm an army spokesperson, a recruiter for some veterinary college...after a few pages I didn't look any more. If "I" am on there somewhere, I'm lost in pages & pages of links now.

I do mine every once in awhile to make sure that if somebody goggles me they can find my Famous in the house Horse Pics

Also put your complete Phone number in a search all one with no breaks and don't put the number 1 first just the area code and the rest of the number with no spaces between the numbers and you then get a complete address and click on the Map icon and you can find out where you live

Ya, I went ahead and checked. Most that came up had to do with my sheep and some research articles I had written in the past.

There was one I have not idea what it is about but I sure going to look into it.

Thats so weird 552 results with my exact name and only 2 of those apply to me. But l could have been real impressive if some of them were me with what they have done. Also l was married at one time to 9 different men with all the same first and last names oh joy that is special. l have also been in prison and am deceased a few times.

Scary.

Also try this:: Put Your Name in Quotes "sam h" because if not it looks for the First name Then the Second name so you get many more results then you need Just your whole name in between the Quote Marks Then do the Search..
