We were invited to a local fun game yesterday, the Bison Bowl. Dapper Dan was to go across the field, like OU's horses, when a touchdown was made. Before the game, we carried the American flag across the field as the national anthem was sung, then stood midfield for the pledge of allegience. Then we switched to the Oklahoma flag and waited for touchdowns.
DD never gallops in harness. We saw the ref give the signal for a touchdown and started across the field. He broke into a gallop and away we went! Cheering crowds! We had a different passenger nearly everytime, from small children to embarrassed teen girls.
Not sure how many touchdowns were made, but we had a busy 2 hours. Dapper Dan was a very good ambassador for little horses.
