Equine color genetics is one of my favorite things in the world. I learned a great deal of what I know through a fabulous website that had interactive animations and pretty graphics and good pictures...but, alas, that site is no longer running. So I'm doing my best to recreate it.

But I don't have all the colors I need in my own herd obviously soooooo thought you people could help.

This is going to be the first of many posts, as I'm attempting to cover all known colors/patterns.

If you donate a photo, I will state the owner and can give a link to your site.

Right now, I'm beginning with the bases. So I need:

Black

Red

Bays

I'd prefer no white, or very little, so I can focus just on the base color. In other words, no distracting pinto patterns LOL.

I'd love to get as many as I can, to show the range in colors. Especially with the bays, since there are so many beautiful shades and stuff.

So everybody add your photos, a link to your website, and I will love you forever!!!!!!

I have a black with blaze and socks, and a bay with blaze and socks if you want them?? Are they too distracting?

thanks guys!

And I WILL need pinto pictures, but not YET. I'll start a separate thread for that when I need it because it is gonna be a while till I get around to the white patterns.

Just finishing up the bay page right now....

Thank you all so much!
