Got the color tests back from UC- Davis on the two Little King horses I bought. The buckskin filly is heterozygous for black/red and for Agouti. I thought she might have a silver gene in there because her tail and mane are kind of brownish instead of black, but no silver was detected. The 2010 Ever After colt came back the same way. He was listed on the Little King site as Cremello, but since he is heterozygous for black/red and for Agouti, that makes him a bay base so he is Perlino, right? So he can produce the whole range of dilutes depending on what he is bred to. Thats just what I was hoping for with both of them!! Just love them!!
