World Show “situation” report The Appaloosa Horse Club has taken the precaution of temporarily suspending competition scheduled for Wednesday October 26th at the World Championship Appaloosa Show in Fort Worth pending official test results for a horse exhibiting neurological symptoms. With the advice of on-site veterinarians, the Will Rogers Equestrian Center is prohibiting the movement of horses into or out of the facility and has specifically quarantined one barn. Additional biosecurity measures have been implemented and exhibitors are cooperating in an effort to mitigate any potential risks of infection. Laboratory results are expected by later in the day on Wednesday.

Good for them, for being proactive in the situation. Just last year at a big show in Texas, many horses went home sick after one person (knowlingly)brought a sick horse to be shown. It sure didn't help her reputation any.

I heard an update yesterday that the suspected horse tested negative and the show resumed.
