Does anyone know if the AMHR will except a signed Bill of Sale in place of a Transfer Application for a horse that is being registered for the first time if you have a completed Registration Application and Stallion Certificate?

Thanks for your help in advance!

With a new registration, the horse can be transferred when you send in the registration application, IF, I think, the person sending in the paperwork is the actual owner (according to registry) at that time. To originally register a horse, you do need a stallion certificate. I do believe, however, the person who registers the horse had to own the dam at time of foaling.

Heck, this is more confusing than it seemed at first! Just call the registry, they are very nice and helpful, in my experience. They will tell you all you need to have.
