Watching the National AMHR show and was wondering how the horses qualify for the Jackpot classes?

I've been to Nationals several times, but never entered the jackpot classes, and we don't drive. We have entered the gelding incentive money back. I may be wrong but I think all you need to do to qualify is show at two shows, but jackpot may be different.

You just enter it like a normal class. You have to pre-enter the class (before the close of entries in Aug. No day of show entries allowed), be the amateur owner of the horse (your name on the papers) or be the leasee before Jan 1st of that year. Owner to show, no pros allowed.

Simple.

Also Jackpot is when all the entry fees are put into the "pot". Then the monies are split between the first few placings. I believe the first place gets 40 percent of the pot.
