I have purchased 2 mares with friends of mine and they're staying at their house. I was wondering how do we pay for them as they'll both be in both names but their address? Do I put on my work order a transfer a well or do they put both in their work order?

Help!

I would think one person fills in the transfer paper with you both listed as owners and you would both have to sign the transfer paper.

Its a simple case of co-ownership. Just put at the Owners name line you and your friend and then just put your friend's address.

I think it depends on what type of joint ownership it is. You can do A OR B, or A AND B. I think the second type requires both signatures.

If you put the paperwork as "or", it takes only one signature to sell the animal out from the partnership. If "and" is listed, it takes two signatures to sell or transfer.

Depends upon how much you trust this friend or they trust you.
